But that may not be possible, which would be a shame because the guild name harkens back to my days of EverQuest, so it’s a wee bit close to the heart. I think something that would be nice is that the “Dethrone” should be available to the next highest active player which would eventually trinkle down to me since no one else in the guild actively plays, and I thought it’d be fun to rebuild the guild (with my new co-workers). Sadly, I had been knocked down to “Rank 4” (I have a ticket open with WoW, but I doubt they will be able to do much, much to my dismay). I checked, and the current leader has not been on in 4 months, the next player 7 months, and then the few others, go into years. Searching, I found the Guild Dethrone thing. To my surprise, I was able to recover my characters, and saw I was still in my old guild - but guild leadership had moved on. I didn’t assign guild owner (Horde guild) to anyone, because it was literally down to about five people (most of whom, had also stopped, or gone to Alliance).įast forward, something like 13 years, I come back because some co-workers are playing and talked me into it. So, eons ago, I played WoW, all the way to (and through) Lich King, before finances got tight, and I departed.
